Leading insurance software specialist, Axe Group, has recently hired Nick Miller as its Business Development Manager. Nick has over 10 years’ experience in customer sales and service, most recently working for a workforce optimisation SaaS provider to a variety of industries and government agencies. 

“It’s a very exciting time to join Axe. The industry is undergoing a transformation and Axe has the products that can help insurers and reinsurers grow by streamlining their processes, gaining fresh insights, and enhancing both the customer and agent experiences.”

Already, Nick has found working at Axe very rewarding. “I love it. I love the fact that Martin (Stewart, Founder and Director), and Kimberley (Lathe, CFO) are so accessible, as is Adam (Hargreaves, Sales Manager). Someone said to me this morning that it felt like I’ve been here for much longer than I have, so I think I’m fitting in pretty well.”

Nick has been tasked with driving the business forward through networking and promoting Axe’s offerings, but also by building relationships with the group’s existing clients and ensuring that the high level of communication continues. “What Axe is known for, is continual improvement. If a client says to us, ‘it would be great if the software could do such and such,’ we’ll make that happen and then roll it out to the entire customer base without charging for months and month of development fees. Everyone’s boat gets lifted a little higher by that rising tide and I’m looking forward to being part of that process. It’s just a different way of working that really sets Axe apart.”

Nick is also looking forward to the launch of new Axe products during 2024. “As I said, the insurance industry is going through a transformation currently, and we have some exciting new products to announce later in the year, so watch this space.”

Nick is married with two kids; James who is nine and Zoe who is five. James is soccer mad and Nick loves spending time kicking the ball around with him and watching Sydney FC play. His daughter Zoe is obsessed with ballet and dancing, so you also might find him demonstrating some fancy footwork with her. In addition, Nick is a keen cook and has just spent much of the holiday season feeding his extended family and friends.
