With fifteen years’ corporate experience, largely in the insurance sector, Adam brings a deep understanding of the needs of this sector, forged from a client’s perspective. “I have a strong belief in the importance of working in partnership and really focusing on client value delivery,” explained Adam.

Having been involved in large digital transformation projects at companies, like Suncorp, Adam is aware of both benefits and pitfalls that come with such an undertaking. “I think some companies fail to consider the people impacts when planning this kind of transformation. As easy as it may be, from a management perspective, to see the potential efficiencies digital transformation can make, executives sometimes neglect to consider the requirements from a user perspective—and that’s where some of Axe Group’s strengths lie.”

Adam recognises the key question that insurers face; whether to build their own digital platforms inhouse, rather than go with an outsourced solution. “It’s not only a question of whether they have the technical ability to put something together, but also whether they have the level of insight necessary to know what they should be building in the first place,” he pointed out.

Adam said he chose to join Australian based and owned Axe Group because he appreciates the forward-focused culture this founder-led company offers. “I really admire how much they continue to invest in the product and keep evolving it to make it better now and prepared for the future.”

Outside of work, Adam spends time with his family including his six-year-old son and enjoys cycling. He is also hoping to be able to get back to experiencing some live music soon.
