Axelerator Platform Functionality

The Axelerator platform delivers many key features underlying the Lifecycle Services working model

Portals & Reporting

Real-time Dashboards

Axelerator Lifecycle Services enables self-service by bringing all of a client’s policies and transactions together on dashboards so they can review their policies easily and keep their details up to date.  When clients log in to the system they will see details of all their current policies as well as details of current quotes, pending transactions, upcoming renewals, referrals, cancelled quotes and applications and claims status. They will also see outstanding tasks such as requests for further information, upcoming payments and offers outstanding.

Advisers have a similar dashboard that they can use to manage their portfolio and assist their many clients.  It includes a search feature so they can easily find individual policies and clients. The outstanding tasks lists will show tasks for each client such as requests for further information, upcoming payments and offers outstanding as well as other reminders relevant for the intermediary such as client birthdays, upcoming renewals and marketing offers relevant to their clients.

Dashboards also feature reports which display real-time data.  This data can be filtered by the user depending on the type of report and the user’s role.  Various charts are also configurable and display real-time data to users.

Reports

Axelerator Lifecycle Services provides highly customizable reporting functionality out of the box.  Dynamic reports can be created using templates which can then be configured for rapid generation.  Detailed reports are also available to users dependent on their role, and can be scheduled to run on any regular cycle.

For reporting purposes, data can be sourced from all Axelerator New Business and Claims systems, as well as any other accessible databases, allowing for detailed analysis across all an insurer’s business functions.

Role Management

Role types can be defined to provide for differing levels of access.  When users are created in the Axelerator Insurance Platform they are assigned a role type with permissions which governs what processes and information are visible to them and what level of access they have to policy and client details and transactions.

Service Level Agreement Management

Service levels can be set for each stage of the lifecycle.  Service level indicators are displayed on dashboards and in reports.  Emails can be generated to notify users when work is overdue, or when a service level has been breached.  Different SLAs can be configured by a number of factors such as product, channel and transaction type.  Reports can also be configured to measure the service level standards across the entire organization.

Axelerator Technology

Administration and Access

The Axelerator Insurance Platform has various functions inbuilt to provide insurer’s with tools to control the way users can access the platform and which policy details they can view.  This is achieved by defining role types in Axelerator and assigning access rights to individual users by role type.

The overall flow for the management of lifecycle processes is controlled by rules managed using Axelerator Studio, a part of Axelerator that provides a user-friendly drag and drop GUI interface for defining and managing rules.  Studio is designed so that new rules can be developed quickly and maintained easily by an expert business user rather than IT staff.  The process flow can vary depending on a user’s role, transaction status, service level required and the person the transaction is assigned to.

The role permissions dictate what session actions are available to the user.  The session action performed will in turn determine the status of the policy record.  Depending on this status, users with different role permissions might have view, edit or no access to policy details.

Document Assembly

Various documents required throughout the lifecycle can be automatically generated in Axelerator.  Documents configurable to meet each insurer’s unique requirements can be created and pre-populated in PDF, Word and Excel formats.  Axelerator can then send these documents via email, or other mediums, and they are stored and linked to the corresponding policy record.

Many standard templates are provided including policy schedules, renewal invitations and renewal offer quotes.  Inbound scanned documents, images and voice recordings can also be processed and linked to the corresponding policy record.

Integrations via web services to third party document management systems are able to be implemented easily so existing systems can continue to be used.

Personalization

The personalization function enables Axelerator’s multi-channel capability to be configured, and allows for the definition of users and roles, channels, white-labelling, UI themes and user workspaces.

Channel settings provides the ability to generate and present the web user interface differently for each route to market used by a business, e.g., directly through the organization’s website versus through a partner so the web interface takes on the look and feel of the partner’s website.

For Axelerator Lifecycle Services this means that the user interface can be tailored depending on the channel to the applicant.  This feature is particularly important for insurance sold through alliance partners and affinity groups.  With this type of insurance the client typically interacts with the third party they are a member of, rather than directly with the Insurer.

Integration Services

Axelerator can integrate with, or overlay, existing back-end or legacy systems, allowing the creation of rules that access existing systems and integration of them into lifecycle processes.

Using these capabilities Axelerator Lifecycle Services can access data residing in an external system and incorporate such data into an automated process.  For example, an existing policy administration system or claims system can be queried, and the data accessed and carried forward into Axelerator to use as the basis for a policy renewal.

Secure User Access

Full control over user registration, authentication and authorization may be managed through Axelerator.

Direct Public Access

This allows for secure and public online access.  Axelerator includes a registration facility so after obtaining quotes on a public site, a user can register so they can complete an application and submit it.

This is particularly important for direct insurance where a user will often want to anonymously complete the quotation process.  After receiving a quotation, if they like the offer, they can then register and enter additional details to enable full underwriting and to progress to policy issue.

User Administrator Access

Administrator Access is used to manage all user access, role and administration functions.  Through this access insurer’s can add, copy, delete and update users; add, update and delete user roles; assign users to roles and channels; suspend or re-activate users and add, update and delete channels.
